I found these luxators almost 20 years ago and have used them exclusively ever since. They changed the way I perform extractions and drastically reduced the procedure time. Unlike standard elevators, they are designed to enter the PDL space and grip the tooth with sharp serrations. This also decreases surgical trauma and increases the ability to perform atraumatic extractions. These are not elevators though and will break if used as such. However, many of my extractions have been performed without relying on heavy use of forceps.
